Summer Bulbs

My point was not listed re summer bulbs so, I could not vote. No, but I do have cannas, and calla lilies in containers. All my plants are in containers. I have a 20' x 40' north facing patio in Southern California. Many shade plants, cacti, roses, and other sun loving plants. Your show helps me keep my garden alive. I am currently looking for information on orchids. I recently inherited three orchids. Not sure what they are. So, looking forward to an orchid video from you.

Living in the mid-atlantic by the Chesapeake Bay brings challenges. The yellow cannas I planted 3 years ago and neglected to lift in the fall have survived and spread to create a large patch on the east side of my studio. In contrast the calla lilies I try every spring never seem to thrive and die back before the season end. Dahlias winter over often as well. Is there a way to make better predictions for this warmer temperate climate, zone 7A?

I plant lilies because they come back every year in my zone. The others you mentioned do not.
