Albert HadleyAlbert Hadley: The Story of America's Preeminent Interior Designer
Although I am a history buff, I also love modern design and contemporary furnishings. Often the most exciting interiors and outdoors living spaces are those that artfully integrate traditional and contemporary design. Such is the magic of American interior designer Albert Hadley. Fellow interior designer and author Adam Lewis has created an extraordinary book detailing the life and career of this American icon. I had the pleasure of meeting Albert and his sister over dinner after our lectures at the Antique & Garden Show of Nashville. Ribboned through the text are stories contributed by Mr. Hadley about his influences, Southern heritage and design commissions. And of course it is loaded with photographs of the sumptuous interiors - perfect for kick starting great ideas!

Allen, You should do an interview with Susan Sargent. I am a great fan of hers (as well as a great fan of YOURS!) I think the two of you would have a fabulous time discussing color, gardens and lifestyle! Here is her website: http://www.susansargent.com/
