Disabled Fables by L.A. Goal

Disabled FablesDisabled Fables
During an appearance on the NBC Today show I was lucky enough to share the spotlight with a book called Disabled Fables. If you haven't already heard about this book it is a collection of Aesop's Fables retold and illustrated by artists with developmental disabilities. Each of the artists attend L.A. Goal, a non-profit agency that provides a variety of programs for adults with developmental disabilities. I fell in love with this book as soon as I opened the covers. Each artist retells a fable and then explains what the story means to them. The art is inspiring and the tales are thought provoking. I think that even Aesop could learn a thing or two from these authors.
