Floating Mask
Add a touch of whimsy to your garden by hanging a mask in a hedge. It is easy to do with a shepherd's hook from a bird feeder and some copper wire.
Materials:
- 1 Shepherd's Hook
- 1 light weight terra cotta, concrete, plaster (etc) mask
- Wire
- Wire cutters
- Stakes
- Twine
- Hammer
- Scissors
Directions:
- Position the shepherd's hook inside a tall evergreen hedge. Only the tip of the hook should be exposed.
Attach wire to the back of a mask and hang from hook.- If the mask is heavy and begins to pull the shepherd's hook forward then tie twine to the base of the shepherd's hook and anchor the project by tying the twine to a stake driven into the ground on the opposite side of the hedge. By placing the stake behind the hedge you will maintain the illusion that the mask is floating.
