What's in Bloom, November 2010

Hot and dry was the theme for the garden this past summer. We just ended a 45-day marathon of no rain and the temperatures remained close to 90°F well into fall. Summer was reluctant to take her leave this year. In general the garden is weary and ready for the first hard freeze (or maybe that's me) but there are a few stalwarts that are doing quite well. These will definitely go on my list of hearty plants that can take a brutal Arkansas summer.
