My family and I attended the 67th Camellia Show & Festival at the Winter Park Garden Club, Mead Botanical Garden (Florida).

A beautiful display of so many varieties, very impressive! Our 12-year old son was equally impressed, he truly enjoyed the show.

Paul, I am so thankful for your post. I fell in love with Camellias when I first spotted them at a local nursery and planted several in my yard. However, to my disappointment they did not live long. Your post mentioned your Camellias are planted under 'sheltering tall pines' in a naturalistic area. I realize now I may have planted mine in the wrong place in my yard as they were in full sun (in Florida). I plan to try again, only this time I will place them in a more 'naturalistic' area of my yard under towering trees. I want to thank you for giving me hope that I will be able to once again enjoy this beloved plant!

I, too, had a white camelia wedding bouquet - only in 1959. My children duplicated it in silk for our 25th wedding anniversary.

Good morning Mr. Smith,
just went over the article on how to care for camellias and I noticed in the plant description the hight would be 6 inches instead of 6 feet!
Thought you would like to know. :)
I so enjoy your news letter and shows!
warm regards

What gorgeous blooms! But I want to know the names of the varieties - might like to buy one or two for myself. They do very well here in S. Georgia.
