Seeds are undoubtedly a legacy for that plant and the gardener planting it. I love to collect tree seeds of all kinds. It is fun to research the history of the species and try to calculate the age of the tree that they are being collected from. The seeds don’t always germinate which makes it’s even more magical when they do!! When I look up at a tree I can’t help but wonder about all the turn of events that had to happen to make it all possible. It tickles me think that I can play a role in that cycle of the legacy.

Perfect time to start some seeds with my 5 year old nephew who has shown an interest in gardening.
