Lynne was my sister. In July she sent me home with 2 suitcases full of PW plants to start my garden in Colorado. She loved her husband Pete, she loved her garden, she loved her home. She lived big and was generous and open hearted. She especially loved the garden "shed" you designed for her. It is beautiful. Thank you for your tribute to her.

Lynne was a gardener's gardener - when she dug her hands into the dirt, and we walked about and she'd say here, have some of THIS...and dig up a plant..now that is a soul well met, and for those who knew her, her zest for living was unmatched. She was humble in the truest sense of the word, unaffected and with great courage. I was lucky to have known her.

To Friends of Lynne, I am so sorry for your loss. May pleasant memories of her be of great comfort. Remember her by planting something special in her honor.

I once told my dear friend Lynne that my goal was for my garden to be prettier than hers. She sent me home to Pittsburgh with PW plants & your book "Garden Home" and told me to, "Read every word. From cover to cover." (Can't you just hear her?) I've been gardening happily ever since. Sure will miss her.
