Freezer Blueberry Jam

This recipe calls for freezer pectin, also called instant pectin. You can find it with regular pectin at the grocery store.




Rinse and pick over berries to remove stems etc.

Mash with a large spoon or potato masher.

Add sugar and cinnamon.

Combine lemon juice and pectin. Stir into berries.

Stir for 4 or 5 minutes or until sugar is dissolved.

Fill 8-ounce sterile jars leaving about ½ inch of head room. Screw on the tops and leave to set up for 24 hours.


Keeps in the refrigerator for about three weeks and the freezer for one year. Thaw frozen jars in the refrigerator.

Time to prepare: 8 minutes.

This recipe is vegetarian.

Serves 150.
