Fresh Strawberry Sorbetto

This sorbetto, which is Italian for sorbet, is very simple with just a few ingredients. It's so cool and sweet. Perfect for summer.




Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and puree.

Pour the strawberry mixture into a bowl, cover, and freeze for 3 or 4 hours.

Remove the bowl from the freezer every 45 minutes and puree the strawberry mixture. This will ensure a nice, smooth texture.

Remove the sorbetto fifteen minutes before serving to soften.


Time to prepare: 4 hours.

This recipe is vegetarian.

Serves 6.

    I am surprised an ice cream maker is listed. Mr. Smith did not use one when making this recipe on the show.
