When I was working at my family's nursery we would occasionally hold Saturday gardening workshops. The most popular classes were always those that dealt with herbs. It's been my experience that gardeners are just crazy about herbs. And why not? They are generally easy to care for and beautiful. Not to mention all the great ways you can use them. I uncovered this recipe while looking through some notes from one of those Saturday workshops. It's a fun, fizzy drink that is perfect for summer celebrations. If the variety of herbs listed is not available, 1 cup of plain mint works nicely.
Combine all the ingredients except the ginger ale in pitcher.
Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and leave overnight to allow the herbs to steep.
Just before serving strain the juice and discard the herbs. Add the ginger ale and serve over ice.
If the variety of herbs listed is not available, 1 cup of plain mint works nicely.
Time to prepare: 4 hours.
