Maple Brown Sugar Cookies

This cookies are sweetened with brown sugar and maple syrup. They are soft and cake-like. I love them on a chilly autumn day with a hot cup of tea.

Cream the sugar and softened butter with an electric hand mixer.

Add the eggs, vanilla, and maple syrup. Beat until well blended.

Sift the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl.

Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the brown sugar mix.

Cover the cookie dough with plastic and refrigerate for 30 minutes to an hour.

Using a tablespoon drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in an oven preheated to 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes

Time to prepare: 25 minutes.

Serves 36.
