Shiitake Mushroom Saute

This simple recipe combine Shiitake mushrooms, garlic, onions and a little soy sauce. It is the perfect companion to any meal.
Ingredients
- 10-12 shiitake mushroom, no stem
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 2 tbsp. onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
Instructions
Melt two tablespoons of butter in a large saucepan until frothy.
Add chopped onions and garlic and stir over a medium heat until the onions are transparent.
Now add the mushrooms and the soy sauce and cover the saucepan for about two minutes until the mushrooms are wilted. These will cook in no time so be careful not to over cook them.
Shiitakes prepared this way can be the perfect complement to any meal.
Notes
One of the things I've learned in using mushrooms is that they will stay fresh and firmer longer if you'll store them in the refrigerator in a paper sack.
Time to prepare: 10 minutes.
Serves 5-6.
