Answer
Coffee Grounds
Question
I've been told that I can use my coffee grounds in the garden. Is this true? How should I apply them to the soil?
Answer
It is true that the plants in your garden will benefit from a little coffee now and again. As used grounds break down, they add humus to the soil. Humus helps to break up the soil making it more friable.
When you apply coffee grounds use a light hand because high concentrations can be toxic to plants. Spread the grounds thinly and work them into the soil.
