Summer Color

Print Friendly Version

My garden has exploded like confetti into a rainbow of summer colors. Every nook and cranny is filled with brilliantly hued flowers and foliage. My rondel garden is especially bright, dressed in hot pink, chartreuse green, cherry red, salmon orange and clear yellow.

Much like laughter, this festive palette, so full of life, has a wonderful effect on my psyche. As I walk through the garden after a long day and see the rich tapestry of color unfold before me, alive with butterflies, bees and hummingbirds, I feel an instant lift in my spirit.

It is a good reminder that the garden, whether it is the size of a football field or a few containers on a terrace, is a place of healing. Spend as much time as you can this summer enjoying the remedies it has to offer.
