P. Allen Smith's Bringing the Garden Indoors

Look Inside my Newest Book

I'm excited about my newest book in the Garden Home Series. It is called, Bringing the Garden Indoors and the title says it all.  It is packed with ideas for adding the beauty of nature to every room of your home. In my earlier books, I explored ways to create garden rooms outside, so now you are invited to step inside my home as well as some of my friends, so you can see how a home's interior can be enlivened when touched by nature's hand. Here's a sneak peek of what you'll find in the book.

Hi Allen,
It was definitely nice to see you in another color. I understand for continuity why you wear the same shirt for filming.

Dear Allen, Thanks for the preview...looks wonderful and I can't wait to get my hands on it... I wanted to ask: are you considering putting a book together around the Garden Home Retreat? I greedily re-watch all your episodes on whichever show I can find, but I am really drawn to the retreat...I love the whole premise of the property and what you are doing there. I can see whole chapters on organic farming, green building, adaptive reuse of old architecture...etc. Please tell me it is already in process!!!! If not, why not!!! Thanks for your insight and suggestions! My favorite book so far has been the Garden Home.

Betty - The plant information in my book is to use wherever you live. You shouldn't have any problem creating containers, crafts and bouquets to bring the garden indoors in your home. Thank you for your interest in my new book. Regards, P. Allen Smith

I am looking forward to your new book. I have many vases, large and small, as well as a number of other items that seldom see the light of day. I would like to begin using these to accent my home, bringing fragrant flowers along for the ride in these items. Whenever I bring out the vases or bowls, I'm reminded of family or friends.

Sincerely,
Louise

Allen, This is the first time I've ever seen you in a shirt color other than blue. Nice change, but blue is still my favorite. I have your other books and consult them regularly, especially your Twelve Principles of Design. I am adding your newest book to my garden library.
