Plant Details
Morning Glory Milky Way
ipomoea purpurea

Description
Half Hardy Annual. A climbing vine with delicate blooms up to 3 inches across. The heart-shaped leaves have white, funnel-shaped flowers with carmine-rose specks. The flower resembles a star. They open in early morning and close by mid-day.
Planting Tips
After all danger of frost, sow in open ground well exposed. Cover with 1/4 inch soil. To hasten germination, nick seeds and soak overnight in warm water. When plants are 4 inches high, thin. Does not transplant well. Excellent for temporary screens, hedges and ground covers. Vines can be trained to cover fences, tree trunks, and unsightly stumps. If lush growth but no flowers, stop watering.
