Plant Details
Zinnia Giant Cactus Flowered
Zinnia elegans

Description
Half Hardy Annual. Giant, cactus-flowered blooms in a blend of brilliant colors. Quilled, gracefully curved petals in multiple rows forming very large flowers make this Zinnia quite distinctive. Flowers freely from midsummer until frost.
Planting Tips
After all danger of frost, sow in open ground well exposed. Or, for earlier bloom, start indoors in flats about 4 weeks before last frost. Cover with 1/4 inch soil. When plants are 3 inches high, thin or transplant. Ideal for tall borders. For a bold effect, mass in sunny beds. Striking and long lasting as cut flowers. Remove faded blossoms to prolong bloom. Give plenty of fertilizer and water.
