10-19-09 Let's Get Organized

Broadcasting the Week of 10-19-09
When starting a project, getting organized can make a big difference in the outcome. In this episode of P. Allen Smith Gardens learn a few tips on organizing your garden shed.  Plus a delicious recipe for corn on the cob, growing blueberries, a multi-tasking outdoor power tool and the cool weather annual Osteospermum.

Feature Highlights:

Toolshed Tips
•    Hang shovels, garden forks and hoes on the wall with a nail.  Outline the form of the tool on the wall with chalk.  This will serve as a reminder of what tool goes where and alert you if something is missing.

•    Mason jars are great for storing clips, plant tags and nails.  Spice jars in a spice jar rack will help you organize smaller items such as matches, nails and screws.

•    Wire bushel baskets are just right for storing coiled up garden hoses.

Proven Winners Yellow Chiffon CalibrachoaProven Winners Superbells® Yellow Chiffon Calibrachoa
I’ve been a fan of Superbells® Calibrachoa for a long time. The flowers of Yellow Chiffon Calibrachoa have an amazing creamy yellow color that blends well with any color palette. Yellow Chiffon has a trailing habit with healthy foliage and tons of small blooms. Superbells® attract hummingbirds and butterflies, and we consider them pet friendly around the farm.
