Dear Gardening Friend,
It's been a busy spring at the Garden Home Retreat with a lot of planting going on in the
One Acre Vegetable Garden. It's brimming with cool season crops like lettuce, cabbage
and broccoli. Because not everyone has an acre to plant, we've set up an 8' x 8' framed
bed to demonstrate to visitors how they can plant the same crops on a smaller scale. This
year we're trying out Mel Bartholomew's Square Foot Gardening technique.
