Pink Caladium Shade Container

This is one container that won't sit in the background, demure and unnoticed. It is so tall and dramatic that one urn is all you need to make an unforgettable accent for your home's entrance.

This will be a dramatic display up until the first late-autumn freeze.

Directions

  1. Put the urn in place before you start. It will be heavy once it is planted. This plant combination does best in full to partial shade.
  2. Fill the urn three-quarters full with soil.
  3. Remove the plants from their nursery pots and arrange them in the container. Place the fern in the back, impatiens in the middle and caladiums and sedge toward the front and sides.
  4. Fill in with soil. Water. Add more soil if needed.
  5. Keep your container consistently moist.
