Foolproof Valentine's Dinner
One of the best ways to tell someone you care is with a home cooked meal. Whether it's your sweetheart, a dear friend, or a family member treat them this Valentine’s Day to a special dinner that says, "I love you."
If you're all thumbs when it comes to creating a memory making evening, take heart. I've got a foolproof Valentine's dinner plan for you.
The Table
You can make the table setting festive without a lot of work. A tulip arrangement in shades of pink with paper hearts is all you need to set the mood. To make it more personal write love notes on the hearts.
The Meal
To spend the maximum amount of time with your sweetheart, stick to a simple menu. What's nice about these three dishes is you can make a lot of the components the day before.
Apple Asiago Salad
Make it easy on yourself by using bagged salad greens. Prepare the salad dressing the day before.
Broiled Pork Chops with Sweet Cherry Sauce
The cherry sauce for this dish is easy to prepare and can be made in advance. It only takes about 30 minutes to prep and broil the pork chops.
Chocolate Pots
This is one of the simplest, but most decadent desserts. It requires 5 hours chilling time so make it the day before.
The Conversation
If you have trouble expressing your feelings, make a set of flash cards with questions for your loved one to ask you. Write down question such as, "What do you love most about our relationship?" or "What's your favorite memory of us?" It's a fun, no pressure way to get talking.
